Residents are responsible for following the instructions correctly even if they do not attend the meeting.
North Campus Move-Out Info
All residents must attend the mandatory meeting scheduled by their Resident Assistant (RA), Hall Director (HD) or Area Coordinator (AC) to review move-out information and instructions. Residents are responsible for following the instructions provided fully and correctly.
Time slots will open at 12PM on Monday, April 13th. Residents can move out any time up to 24 hours after their last final. Log in to your USH Resident Portal to choose a move-out time slot and upload a copy of your class schedule. If your requested time slot is not approved, we will contact you. Residents with Friday afternoon exams must move out by 10:00AM on Saturday, May 9, 2026. There will be no late check-outs, except pre-approved residents participating in commencement ceremonies, who must move out no later than 6PM on Sunday, May 10th. Moving out prior to your last final will not result in any refund of rent. The deadline to sign up for a timeslot is Wednesday, May 6th at 12PM.
Common areas, bathrooms and bedrooms must be thoroughly cleaned. All decorative items and adhesive materials must be carefully removed. You will be billed for excessive wall/paint damage. Trash and unwanted personal property must be taken to the dumpster located outside your building. Trash left in the unit will result in trash removal fees based on the amount of debris accumulated.
Recyclable materials should be placed in the appropriate containers. Labeled bins will be located in the lobby for acceptable donations.
Rented mini-refrigerators will be picked-up from the resident’s rooms by Campus Specialties after closing. Unplug these refrigerators and move them to the shower to defrost. Unwanted personal refrigerators should be placed next to the move-out dumpster, for environmental reasons. USH will arrange safe disposal of these items.
Residents must complete a check-out envelope and submit to their Front Desk, or via a USH Rent Drop Box. Rooms will be inspected after move-out, unless a walkthrough with your Community Manager has been previously requested and scheduled. After the first resident(s) of a room have checked-out, the remaining resident of the room will be solely responsible for any changes in the condition of the room when he/she checks-out. Residents will be held responsible for any damages, missing items, or necessary cleaning. A list of billable charges is available via the link at the top of the page. The last person to check-out should ensure that the blinds are open, windows are closed, and the lights are turned off.
Do not have mail or packages sent to campus after April 25, 2026. Residents must update package delivery information and notify the U.S. Postal Service of the address to use to forward mail. All mail or packages received after move out will be returned to the original sender. Be sure to empty your mailboxes and pick-up packages prior to check-out.
Check-out envelopes will be available at the Front Desk of north campus communities. After removing all personal belongings, return a completed check-out envelope, with all USH issued keys/fobs included, to the Front Desk or Rent Drop Box in your community. All residents must follow this step to complete the move-out process.
All USH keys and fobs must be returned in the resident’s check-out envelope. Key/fob replacements are $25 each. DO NOT TURN IN WCU RAM CARDS!
