- Cost: $300 (non-refundable after June 1, 2026)
- Spring Only Residents: Not eligible.
- Deadline: Pay and sign the agreement before June 1, 2026, or within 7 days of signing the lease if after June 1, 2026.
- Eligibility: Available at opening of application to August 23, 2026. Not available after August 23, 2026.

- Submit proof from WCU that you are no longer enrolled.
- Complete the lease termination process in the USH Resident Portal and pay a $200 termination fee.
- Before Moving In: If you complete all steps by August 23, 2026, you are released from the 2026-2027 lease.
- After Moving In: If you withdraw during the fall 2026 semester, you are released from the spring 2027 semester rent & lease but must pay for the fall semester and move out within 48 hours of withdrawing from WCU.
- Spring 2027 Withdrawal: If you withdraw for spring 2027 and move out by January 15, 2027, you are released from the spring 2027 semester rent & lease.
Frequently Asked Questions
for Withdrawal Protection Plan
No. Once the $300 fee to enroll in the Withdrawal Protection Plan is paid, this agreement cannot be cancelled or refunded.
No. The Withdrawal Protection Plan is only available for USH residents with a Fall Semester move-in.
Yes. Even if you are enrolled in the Withdrawal Protection Plan, if you terminate your lease for the Spring semester, the $200 Lease Termination Fee is still owed.
