Step 1: Complete Financial Aid
- Work with financial aid to complete your aid and loan packages.
- Make sure you know how much you owe WCU and have enough excess funds available to authorize to pay the USH rent.
- Funds must be authorized to USH for fall by August 15th or prior to move in and spring by January 15th.

Step 2: Authorize Funds
- Login to your RamPortal and click the tile called “University Student Housing”.
- Once clicked, it will show you what you owe to USH.
- “Apply Excess Aid to USH Charges” will be available if you have excess aid to send to USH.
- Fill out the form with how much aid you would like to send to USH.
- The student and USH will receive confirmation of the authorized amount to be disbursed to USH.

Step 3: Pay Remaining Rent
- Once this authorized amount is credited to your USH account (this can take 24-28 hours), log into your USH Resident Portal to view your updated statement and any outstanding balance.
- Payment is due in full no later than September 15 for the fall semester and February 15 for the spring semester.
- Login to USH Resident Account by clicking here.
- Select Web Accounts.
- Select View Statement.
- If a balance is owed, select Pay Now.

Important notes
- Students must request enough financial aid to cover housing costs.
- Complete the process by the deadlines.
- Any rent or fees not covered by authorized aid must be paid by September 15 or fall and February 15 for spring.
- Carefully review all communications from WCU and USH to avoid missing steps or deadlines.
- Students remain responsible for all rent and late fees if aid is not disbursed or if their WCU/USH status changes.
- If WCU reduces the aid amount sent to USH, students must immediately pay the remaining balance.
- Contact your Community Manager if you have trouble authorizing aid.
