A young woman smiles while pushing a large yellow bin filled with belongings, including a clear storage container and bedding, outside on a sunny day. Trees and a West Chester University housing sign are visible in the background.

Drop & Go is an optional early move-in program that allows incoming students to fully move into and set up their residence hall room before official Move-In.

Participants select a time slot, check in at their community front desk, and bring all belongings into their unit, then leave campus until their assigned return date.

Drop & Go is available to incoming students living in Allegheny, Brandywine, Commonwealth, and University Hall and places participants in the “Arrival Group,” which has different parking and arrival procedures, making it best to bring everything at once, as unloading zones and carts will not be available later.

Drop & Go and Return to Campus

Here, you’ll find all the essential information to help you prepare for Drop & Go — including what to bring, Drop & Go day details, and how to arrive to campus later on!

Drop & Go (August 16th & 17th)

Return to Campus

Arrival Group

Participants of Drop & Go will be a member of the “Arrival Group”. The Arrival Group will return to campus either on Thursday, August 20th or Friday, August 21st. You will select from the designated time slots, which are available based on your housing assignment with USH.

As part of the Arrival Group, you will return to campus and park in the designated long-term parking lots. The Arrival Group will not have access to the unloading zones or carts.

Once parked, head to your front desk to check in and retrieve your Welcome Envelope, then go to your already decorated room! If you bring more belongings during the Arrival Group time slot, you’ll need to park in the long-term lot and carry it in yourself, no move-in carts will be available.

Return to Campus (August 21st & 22nd)

A person wearing a green and navy jacket pushes a cart filled with storage bins and a yellow blanket along a sidewalk, likely moving into West Chester University housing, while another person walks ahead on this sunny day near trees and outdoor chairs.
